We traveled up to Merthyr for a cup of tea with David and Jacci, rain forced us inside where we chinked tea cups and talked water memories. If you think of dead dogs as local colour then you will probably enjoy this.

The best place to start
The best place to start swimming is with a teacher. In Wales of the 1940's you found someone bigger than you and followed them. That is how my Dad learned, and this is where. Just keep going until you hit the rock...
